Job Responsibilities

This Technical Analyst role is part of an onsite team that is responsible for the implementation of billing (basic, interval and network billing of 2m+ sites), meter asset management and meter data management solution for our Brisbane based client, which is Australia’s largest, wholly government-owned electricity company. The onsite team is also responsible for the data migration, product configuration, customisation development and support of the client system integration, user acceptance and market certification testing for a large-scale deployment giving opportunity for a successful candidate to obtain experience that is only available in large programs of work

  • Working with our clients to gather & document requirements; identifying the business processes, interface formats and data associated with developing technical solutions.
  • Designing and developing production customisations, configuration changes, reports, interfaces and scripts including support for deployment of new versions into testing and production environments.
  • Adhering to and enforcing the processes and standards for updates and configuration changes required to supported client environments and systems.
  • Monitoring and the delivery of key system processes, contracted SLA and performance targets for the client in a fully SaaS based solution.
  • Work with software architects and business analysts to ensure that technical requirements accurately reflect the business use case model and are reconciled with each other.
  • Identify and report technical risks throughout the life of the project and provides mitigation strategies for those risks.
  • Provide technical and product expertise to support the client’s product configuration, data migration, acceptance testing, product integration and incident resolution processes.
  • Providing maintenance programming support.

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years in a development, technical analysis or support role working with large-scale commercial clients.
  • Technical skills including:
  • Oracle SQL/PLSQL (experience with SQL tuning and database performance will be desirable)
  • Java, Bash Perl scripting.
  • API and adapter development (including use of REST and SOAP webservices).
  • Linux and Windows server platforms.
  • Experience with source code and build management tools (preferably GIT, SVN, ANT, Maven, Jenkins, BitBucket).
  • Availability to support contracted system processes and high-priority calls with offshore staff outside of standard Australian business hours.
