In the Perth office, Iluka has an exciting opportunity for a self-driven and experienced Study Manager to join the Major Projects and Resource Development teams. The Study Manager will join the team to help define projects early on and carry these studies through feasibility and into execution. Management studies span the entire development cycle, from emerging projects in the scoping phase to established projects entering the Definitive Feasibility phase. In the beginning, the Study Manager will be responsible for defining the study’s scope and devising a strategy for its implementation. Later on, they will assume full control over the study’s delivery. Job Responsibilities

• Delivery of all aspects of mine development studies, from Scoping through Feasibility to Execution and handover.
• Sole point accountability for the successful delivery of the project objectives within schedule and budget.
• Opportunities to tackle industry-first technical challenges.
• Management and coordination of multidisciplined study teams.
• Collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.
• Travel to jurisdictions within Australia to monitor study related field activities.
• Technical governance aligned to Iluka’s Integrated Project Delivery framework.
• Developing and securing Executive and Board endorsement of project gating, underpinned by commercial analysis, opportunity optimisation and risk.
• Reporting and updates to the Iluka Senior Leadership and Executive.

Job Requirements

• A strong focus on safety and sustainability.
• Strong experience delivering feasibility studies and execution experience within greenfield mine developments in Australia.
• General familiarity and understanding of Mineral Sands mining and processing.
• Experience with federal and statutory approvals requirements for mining projects.
• Discipline across the requirements of project gating between study phases.
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Willingness and ability to proactively engage with external stakeholders, as the project representative for Iluka,
• The ability to think laterally to identify and optimise key value drivers within development opportunities.
• Financial acumen, and the ability to link study objectives to business outcomes.
