Our client is expanding, and there are a lot of requests for new projects and a lot of activity at work.
Your primary responsibility as an Automotive Assembler/Coach Builder will be to install trams and trains.

This is a casual, ongoing position that will last for six months with the possibility of becoming permanent if you are a good fit and possess the necessary skills for our client. Although the position is casual, 38 hours per week are anticipated on a day shift, Monday through Friday. There will likewise be the chance for end-of-the-week additional time at punishment rates for those that would like it.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assembling interior and exteriors of bodies of the vehicles- panels and parts to fit them out and build them in line with the specification
  • Assemble and join parts to the frame, such as floor, roof and side panels

Job Requirements

– YOU MUST BE FULLY QUALIFIED AS A CARPENTER OR CABINET MAKER

– Current full working rights in Australia.

– Full driving Licence

– Be fit and pass a medical

– Provide proof of qualifications

– Provide positive references

– Police checks will be conducted as part of on boarding

– Dedication to working 38 hours a week, ongoing in a casual capacity Monday – Friday, morning or afternoon shifts.

– Knowledge of vehicle building materials and equipment ideal

– Welding skills, including the ability to cut and shape metal if required

– Able to interpret plans and sketches

– Willing to take direction and receive feedback.
